hello. I'm alex.  Let's be friends.

I grew up in Los Angeles, CA and live in Boston, MA. My background is in Design, Music and Project Management and I have a B.S. in Accounting and Information Systems.

As work brought me further away from artistic projects, I needed another creative outlet. I've always been fascinated with letter forms, typography, and graffiti and became inspired to pick up a calligraphy pen. 

Two years ago I picked up a broad edge calligraphy pen and began learning italic lettering. This lead to brush pen calligraphy, and eventually pointed pen calligraphy. On a whim, I posted some of my writing on Snapchat and Reddit and subsequently, picked up some media attention. Through word of mouth, my Snapchat community grew and I began doing collaborations with a handful of talented artists and social media influencers. I feel fortunate to have met some really awesome people and it's the coolest thing ever to see someone start to learn the art of calligraphy.
